2 months in and this have what I have learned so far

Do repost and rate:

Its been a crazy last 2 months, with up and downs but mostly up as I have seen my original investment gain 250%.

Here are 5 things I have learnt so far.

1. Pick a platform

2. Pick your Friends

3. Pick a you-tuber

4. Pick your moments

5. Pick comfortable underwear

1. Pick a Platform

There are so many exchanges out there so try to pick one that is going to meet your goals. I currently have multiple accounts and wallets so much so that I am beginning to lose track. I started withCoinbase in 2019 then just completely forgot about it, as you have probably read or heard so many people say ,"I heard about bitcoin when it was $100 a coin," but the fact is 99% of people didn't act or otherwise we would have hit 50K a coin a long time ago. Anyway I like COINBASE just for the simplicity, look and feel, ease at which to buy, reoccurring buys and coinbase earn. But I when I started to buy coins on there this January I started to notice the disparity between how much coin I was getting for my $$$s. I am in Canada so I was getting hit on Card fees and exchange rate to USD, exchange from USD to USDT and then USDT into what ever coin I was looking to buy.

Next I opened a BINANCE account, but there were so many features on there that I couldn't quite grasp what was going on. So I opened a Shakepay account it had a super simple interface, nice welcome bonus, easy account fill feature straight from interac e-transfer but you can only buy BTC and ETH. So I moved on and came across Cyrpto.com, and I thought I had found my savior, I saw that CRO token was at a buy price (77c) after hit a all time high in July 2020 and that they would send me a card with lots of interesting features that I could eventually spend all my sweet Crypto gains with. At the time they were offering no fees for the first 30 days on Debit card purchases so it seamed like they had the best exchange rate from CAD$ to various Crypto currencies. Still I was blown away by welcome bonuses and by watching a interview with Blockfi's CEO so I open an account here and deposited some eth which has now become my savings account.

I was starting to get a bit savvy and confident, but was still confused with METAMASK and using UniSwap and to be honest didn't quite get gas fees. I started to see potential in low cap coins as money was starting to flood into the market, and BTC and ETH were surging in price and it was only a matter of time that the money would flow into alt coins. So I start to look at alternative Exchange platforms that combined the ability to buy new or coins not list on coinbase/binance, with limit pricing (UniSwap was swapping ETH at market price) and staking. I opened accounts with Houbi and Hotbit.io. Recently I have also opened an account on BITMAX which I have to say is one of my favorites so far.

Conclusions

Most of these platforms will reward you for holding their native coin so pick one.

Coinbase - Great for Newbs, Reoccurring buys($ cost averaging), limited coin listing(40 coins), easy coin swap tool, Coinbase earn https://www.coinbase.com/join/mccall_co

Binance - High volume exchange, lots of staking options, cheapest way for Canadians to get USDT, best withdrawal options(most blockchains supported Ox,TRC20, ERC20, BEP, BSC20), Binance Academy, BNB Vault, CoinMarketCap - Earn https://www.binance.com/en/register?ref=XCKOKPH6

Shakepay - Easy to use App for buying Bitcoin and Etherium and nice referral bonus https://shakepay.me/r/CWUGI8V

2. Pick your Friends

I like almost everyone in the space cannot shut about Crypto, I have seen some absolutely ridiculous gains so far and I'm super psyched for the rest of the bull run. I have a financial goal in mind it isn't an actual number but I want to set myself up for the future I want an asset, a house or restaurant. I'm a chef by trade so currently out of work (thanks Covid) but I have made more money in the last few months investing in both the stock market and crypto space than I would have made working. As a chef a 6 figure salary is an illusion unless you own your own restaurant or catering company both of which take large capital investments and the thought of being mortgaged to the hilt makes me very anxious.

So with this in mind I have been trying to encourage some of my friends and family into Crypto. Bear in mind I have suggest super low amounts ($100), in alt coins and some of these people already some ETH or BTC. So far I have on-boarded 2 friends and my 2 older brothers (I decided to make up for all the Xmases I have missed with a $100USDT deposit on their behalf as they are both in Ireland and I'm in Canada) onto Bitmax. Why Bitmax, they support TRC20 USDT (tether on the tron blockchain) so its was virtually free for me to send them some $$ and they have compounding staking so they could just forget about them. They also offer a bunch of fresh DeFi coins. So far my 2 friends are up about 40% in the last week and I just dealt with my brothers this weekend so we will wait and see about their gains.

Conclusion

Wait for people to approach you for your help and be modest about your gains. As much as you want to lift the people up around you, they have to want to help themselves first. It was very frustrating on-boarding my brothers, they are older so they will never respect my opinion and If they lose money it will be my fault.

3. Pick a You-Tuber

YouTube is the modern Encyclopedia. Gone are the days of giant hard bound glossy books with fountains of information. Now we have every moron with a microphone and internet connection telling us BTC is goin to 1,000,000,000,000 Doollas. Be wary they are fountains of knowledge but if they have over 100K followers they are being paid by Blockchain companies and projects to push their Coin. They are a great resource for Newbs but take everything they say with a pinch of salt. I personally quite like Sheldon Evans and have since join his Patreon, but his most recent post on the so called private group was front run by a whale pushing the price 3x on all of his 3 alt coin picks leading to members apeing in before he released his video to youtube(including myself ooohohohohoho). I have been watching CyrptoFrog lately I like his humor and he has only 6K followers so his videos arent pumping the market in the same ways as EllioTrades or BitBoy.

Conclusions

Youtubers are just Dudes, they aren't necessarily experts they just have been doing this slightly longer than you and want to monetize their time. Find one that you like with a limited following. If a popular youtuber shills a coin wait for the pull back 5-10 days after video is release where weak hands start taking profits. CyrptoFrog is an absolute Leg ENd

4. Pick your moments

As I said earlier I am out of work due to Covid, I have no kids and few responsibilities I have spare time coming out the Wazooo. I have been trawling the internet for free ways to make Crypto coins, Airdrops, Bountys, betting websites, Faucets, play to earn, learn to earn and read to earn. I can say so far I haven't earned much, but I have invested lots of time.

Conclusions

Airdrops - Now there are so many new users in the space the airdrops are thinning out and hard to find. Most of them you will have to jump through a bunch of hoops but here is an easy one.

Alladin Exchange-https://aladdin25.com/user/join?referral=5a781aba

Bountys - Easily confused with airdrops, but you will need some technical skills to find and report bugs in a projects Blockchain. Gitcoin is a good place to start https://gitcoin.co/

Betting websites - These include Betfury and others where they incentivize gambling by giving you some of their native tokens as you bet some of your own money. Some have free faucets that you can use but the odds are stacked against and the house always wins. But they can be fun. https://betfury.io/?r=600683112065203c60a1337e

Play to earn/Faucets - So far the most effective faucets I have used already are StakeCube and Zcash Faucets(very low fee so they pay out straight away to my Atomic Wallet usually about $0.005)

https://globalhive.io/r/98911

https://stakecube.net/app/community/faucets

https://pipeflare.io/r/621b

Learn to earn - This has been the most profitable use of my time in the last year I earned about $20-$30 on Coinbase by watching videos. I have yet to receive anything from CoinMarketCap Earn yet but hopefully soon.

Read to earn

I have enjoyed using Publish0x. I like the variety of opinions and other peoples experience of cryptocurrencies. But alas I have not earned enough in reading articles for a payout yet.
