Two weeks back I was checking some of my stats on Hive from 2020 with the help of Hive SQL. Today I wanted to write an article on that. Checking stats is always an interesting thing and it also gives some good motivation to see our account growing and the achievements we have made so far.
I wanted to check how my contribution had been in 2020 in the form of a curator and an Author. Something makes me feel that I should increase my contribution this year.
Total Posts and Comments in 2020
First I wanted to start with the total number of posts and comments I have written in 2020. Looking at the above stats, the month of May, June and July had been a great month for me. I had a good momentum that I was using to write at least a minimum of 2 articles per day. I should say that it was indeed a great experience but after that, I couldn't continue much due to Covid. My contribution reduced a bit after that.
Total Author Rewards in 2020
My author rewards have also been consistent in the last one year. I'm very glad that the rewards were greater towards the end of the year compared to the start of the year. I usually write a minimum of 2 articles per day. Due to covid, I couldn't keep up the consistency. After recovering from Covid, I was able to maintain the consistency and I'm slowly picking up on that. At least now I'm able to write one mandatory article per day. But at the same time, I'm not forcing myself more towards that.
Total Curation Rewards in 2020
I'm very happy to see the curation rewards increasing every month. I'm getting about 15% APR with the help of curation. Looking at the stats, I'm able to see that I have increased my chances of earning through curation in the last one year. One major reason for the same was continuous power-up. I hope someday I get a minimum of 100$ every month from curation alone. Curation is more likely a passive income.
I participated in HPUD and was able to power up a decent amount of Hive every month. Till this month, I have been able to power up lots of Hive which has brought my total Hive power close to 20k. I guess I will hit 20k in another month's time.
It is highly inspiring to look at my stats in the last one year. I'm hoping to have a great year and a better year in 2021 giving me more opportunities in crypto giving me financial independence sooner than I anticipated.
