I?ve been listening about cryptos since at least 2014. Back in the days I was more into learning about precious metals, financial system in general and all the subjects surrounding the monetary issues then buying BTC, ETH and so on. So, it seems I lost the best days to invest my non precious FIAT in cryptos.
My days of crypto investing started in the last bull run of Nov. Dec. 2017. I still remember vividly when I bought my first LTC for about 170€. Opening an account on Coinbase, photo of ID and so on… Even with the fall of prices after Jan 2018 I did not lose any excitement about this technologies. By the opposite I got more into it.
But then suddenly I got a question: If I believe this will be the future, how can I explain to the normal citizen (the ones more worried about their daily tasks) why and how to enter this world?
It wasn't easy... and it still isn't.
If 3 years ago was difficult today is not better. When I told for the first time to my father about cryptos he was intrigued but did not comment anything. Then after some days when I came up with the issue again he just said something like “your brother says Bitcoin is still dangerous to buy” or something like that. I realized on that day that there is no point to try to explain something about a new technology when the ones who you want to talk to are not ready to listen.
Is hard for me to keep seeing my friends and family exchange their hard labor for FIAT that will be worth nothing and keeping it in a bank in case something happen in future. But I decided to quit for now show this “world” and kept to learn more about it. Continuing to put more of my money in the projects I believe and will be here with the most infos I can to teach what I know when does who are closest to me ask me anything about it.
For now I will keep talking about it to those that are closest to me. I know they also don?t understand me but at least they are good listeners
