Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, has one of the longest-running referral programs in the industry that continues to yield significant payouts for certain users.
According to a recent tweet by the exchange, the top referrer earned a whopping 10.7448 Bitcoin (BTC) the week the largest digital currency surged from $7K to $10K. This is roughly $100,000 without having to make a single trade.
The second and third referrers on the “Rich List” earned 6.22 and 5.93 BTC, respectively, with the top-10 raking in around 44 BTC. For comparison, the top referrer made 5.95 BTC two weeks earlier, roughly equal to $50,000 at that time, showing the surge in trading volume at the end of October was lucrative for referrers as well as exchanges.
These numbers are possible thanks to Binance’s referral program, which allows investors to earn up to 40% of the trading commissions from all referred users.
Meanwhile, Binance’s new platform for American investors, Binance.US, also has a referral program where investors can earn $15 for signing up on the new platform and trading $100, as well as $15 for every referred user.
