Will the Otherside Demo Give the Metaverse a New Push?

One of the most anticipated web3 gaming releases of the year, the Otherside once again moved its fan base in the last week with load tests. With the launch of the first demo approaching, Otherdeed owners already have their ticket to travel into the metaverse. After the NFT land sales took over the charts in May, the expectation is that Apes – and ApeCoin – will again take the spotlight in the coming days.

It’s almost time to start exploring the Otherside. Still in the development stage, players will be able to collaborate with the construction of the “spirit of Dungeons and Dragons” world through tests and the final demo.

The first of two load tests took place on June 6th in an event that simultaneously counted on the collaboration of 2,500 players.

Early adopters got to test the metaverse firsthand, helping the developers get everything ready for the demo release.

Otherside trading numbers rise with the expectation

DappRadar’s NFTs Overview data shows that both collections BAYC and in-game Otherdeeds topped the rankings in terms of transaction volume since Otherside’s first load test.

This indicates that the success of the 55.000 land sales in May could repeat itself when the game demo is finally available.

First announced on Otherside’s official Twitter account in May, the First Trip is set for July 16th.

In addition, the APE (Apecoin) currency, used in the metaverse for any transaction, has also shown to gain in value. ApeCoin is currently at $5.09, which rose 17% this week of the first load test. There is, however, still a lot to climb until the 16th.

The metaverse that promises to bring the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection to life will be a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG).

In addition, the multiverse will feature interoperability between different bluechip NFT projects. Whoever owns NFTs from BAYC, CryptoPunks, World of Women, and Cool Cats, for example, will be able to use them on Otherside.

To play the Otherside, gamers must own their own piece of land, the Otherdeed. In the metaverse, gamers can build, explore, and collect resources while trading with the ApeCoin token.
