Sure, you've seen it written down, even think you've heard it in movies, but what the hell is it! I'm Crypto Craic and before I get blogging about cypto, I thought I best explain what the hell Craic is!
First things first, It's pronounced like CRACK! Not cray-k, not cra-ick, not crawk, but CRACK! That’s it, full stop, finito.
So why is it spelled so stupidly you ask? Well it’s not. Cause it ain’t English see. It’s Irish, as in the Celtic Irish language of the Gaels that came from Ireland, are Irish and spoke the Irish language Gaeilge before the English came over and said, enough of that,you’re speaking English now. But that’s a different story :-p
So it’s spelled Craic, it sounds like Crack, it’s Irish but what is Craic?
Well, it’s a bit mysterious in that like cool, not everyone gets it. Craic, first and foremost, is having a laugh, having fun, not taking yourself or life too seriously, joking around, having a great time. That’s why you’ll often see it labelled on Irish pub walls. They’re great places to go and have some craic.
Speaking of having Craic, let’s be clear, you don’t DO craic, you simply have it, or you don’t :-p
Enjoying yourself is not enough to be having craic. Craic is the wild west of good times. It’s the dancing on tables, stay up all night, laugh till you cry, jump around, I love you man, let’s break the rules kind of enjoyment. You won’t find it in art galleries or posh dinner parties but it is often accompanied with alcohol!
Now you can BE craic, as in, he/she’s great Craic! This is a person who is great fun to be around, loves to joke and generally is really good company. Who in the photo would you must wanna hang out with?!?
So how does this tie in with crypto. Well, too many people take things too seriously. I think people need to relax a little, chill out, calm down, and have a little crypto craic. It will make life much much better.
