Week 9 was a snowstorm as SnowSwap saw it’s first wrapped Bitcoin token launched — btcSnow. The goal in launching this swap pool was to unite two titans in the yield farming/DeFi space. When deciding on which tokens to include in the pool, the team focused on TVL and hence Harvest and Yearn were naturally at the forefront.
As the Bitcoin on Ethereum movement continues to evolve, SnowSwap will grow and evolve with it. We will continue to build and add support as more and more Bitcoin finds it’s way into DeFi. With projects like Harvest, Yearn, Badger, and Curve leading the way, we will no doubt have our hands full, but we are up for the challenge.
With all this in mind, we have not forgotten about stablecoins as those are the roots of our protocol. As Yearn and Harvest continue to build and develop new stablecoin strategies, we will look to incorporate them and build on top of them. This week has seen talks and plans of integrating both Harvest fAssets as well as looking forward to Yearn’s v2 vaults.

?This week also saw the advent of SnowSwap’s first meme contest with over $350 in SNOW as prizes for the 10 best memes. Our goal here was threefold: generate some original and organic marketing, show our community that we are grateful for them by rewarding them with some free Snow, and lastly to get some cheap laughs through what can sometimes be a stressful holiday season. So join in the fun because there are still 8 days left to submit those dank memes to Twitter and win some free crypto. We look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
