Nvidia will significantly limit the use of GeForce RTX 3060 video cards, which are scheduled to be released on February 25. This is reported on the company's blog.
"The RTX 3060 software is designed to detect specific attributes of the change algorithm and limit the hashrate on which the efficiency of cryptocurrency extraction depends by approximately 50%," said Nvidia.
This approach was implemented "so that GeForce graphics processors would also fall into the hands of gamers", the company stressed.
To meet the demand from mainers, Nvidia has announced a chip line for NVIDIA CMP (Cryptocurrency Mining Processor) professional maining.
In January, Nvidia representatives allowed the release of specialized video cards if demand from mainers increased.
