Bitcoin Mining - Greatest Theft of Electricity Until Now in Bulgaria

Do repost and rate:

On December 12th the Bulgarian police and the local power supplier CEZ Electro Bulgaria raided an old factory due to abnormal electricity consumption equaling 40 000 KWh per day. This electricity consumption equals the consumption of 4250 average households in Bulgaria.

Over 500 mining ASIC devices were discovered at the site.

Further investigations found out that the leading person behind this operation was in possession of 40 BTC worth over EUR 600 000.

Bitcoin mining became noncompetitive in Bulgaria with rising difficulty and after the halving event in May. Even the newest devices on the market would not be that efficient without access to electricity, which is cheap enough.

I wonder what this guy was thinking, while doing this?!
