We are living in massive consumerism for a very long time. Every business is service-oriented and treats you like a consumer. However, it also brings society into a massive debt-driven, unequal and selfish world we are living in.
Consumerism was built from trust
Consumers will trust you to buy your serves and products. It is a trust-based system to let others spend their money to buy products they satisfy.
Consumerism is short-sighted
Consumerism is not good for the future. It only brings short-term joy to individuals who have enough buying power to joy. It leaves everyone less behind and it creates tension from the disadvantaged group toward the advantages group.
Consumerism is selfish
Consumerism creates selfish organizations that only care about themselves and profits. Anything that jeopardizes their profits will be eliminated. They do not care about society as a whole but for their own advantages.
Consumerism leaves huge debts
Consumerism needs more and more money to spend to satisfy their spending needs. There are limited resources in the world. So they need unlimited money to buy them all. Inflation then was created to fill their desire.
Utilities will disregard the value of human
When people only use their utility as their measurement, they can disregard the value of humans. They will treat others just like goods or tools. They will utilize as much as they can until other humans broke. They care less about your feeling than their desire to have more money.
Consumerism creates a hierarchical system
The more power you can spend, the more power you have in society. You can act like a god to treat others like animals and you can use your power of money to buy up anything you want.
Consumerism has plateau
Luckily, thanks to the Fed Reserve of unlimited printing money power, consumerism is dying. The money is weaker and you have less power to purchase any goods. People start looking for a better way to treat others and buy their goods just enough to use.
Trust was being consumed
Consumerism is broken because people start consuming trust. When trust is consumed, people will trust less toward others. The shrinking of trust will cost the power of spending and encroach into your money. That is why fiat currency continues devaluing.
Crypto to the rescue
Cryptocurrency is coming to help the broken consumerism. It has many options with unlimited supply like Dogecoin to limited supply like Bitcoin. Everyone can access and use it. Everyone requires to verify the trust before transacting the payment.
Crypto is anti-consumerism and anti-excess movement
Technology comes along with crypto is a peer-to-peer system. It eliminates the debt system to continue inflating debts to spend and eliminate selfishness from people. Because you are forcibly working on the verification process, you learn the process and learn others so that you can treat others just like yourself and openly accepts the differences.
In conclusion
Crypto adoption is an anti-excess movement that can cure what consumerism damaged us. We will continue adopting crypto to eliminate consumerism eventually.
