Colonies on Mars are still a distant dream, but this does not mean that we cannot begin to imagine what a hypothetical and future Martian society will be like. Elon Musk has never held back in this.
According to Elon Musk, reports Popular Mechanics, there are two possibilities for Mars: the colonies will either be a direct democracy or they will completely do without a state organization. They are both two utopian solutions very distant from the systems chosen by the states of our planet.
On December 24, Musk also spoke about the currency that will be used on Mars. No fiat currencies and, again with a view to disintermediation, no central banks. The founder of SpaceX and Tesla dreams of a Martian company that uses cryptocurrencies. Someone suggests calling it Marscoin.
Elon Musk is not the only one worried about the future of space exploration, that is, that phase so advanced to provide real human colonies in space. The British Interplanetary Society, for example, annually organizes conferences in order to imagine the future of the settlements problems and ensure that humanity can, in time, prepare a real intergalactic Constitution to guarantee respect for human rights everywhere, including, even on Mars.
