The Ford Mustang Mach-E is one of the most anticipated electric cars right now. Just as parts of the U.S. are seeing snow, Ford took the opportunity to talk about the Mach-E’s capabilities under harsh weather conditions. The company pointed out that the Mach-E comes with an AWD or all-wheel-drive system, which appears to be incredibly popular in several parts of the U.S.
Ford goes on to say that most reservations for the Mustang Mach-E in the midwestern regions were for the AWD variant. The company said – “Ford has tested its all-electric Mustang Mach-E in extremely cold and hazardous conditions at Smithers Winter Test Center, an 800-acre world-class facility in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Here, Ford development engineers have worked to evaluate performance over the most challenging roads and in the harshest of elements.”
There were reports emerging a few weeks ago as to how Ford may delay the arrival of the Mustang Mach-E Crossover, although the standard Mustang Mach-E is expected to be available on schedule. The Mustang Mach-E will be available starting at $43,895 and is also eligible for a federal tax rebate worth at least $7,500. Considering those perks, there’s no surprise as to why this could be a game changer in the EV business.

“Mach-E’s available all-wheel drive is designed to help instill driver confidence in all conditions. The team has integrated e-drive propulsion, all-wheel-drive calibration and brake control in a way that optimizes fine motor skills to enable an immediate response in low-traction conditions and ensure the performance expected from Mustang – even in the snow.”
