In this series of posts about NFTs I’m attempting to provide you all the information you need to enter the wonderful world of NFTs.

CHAPTER 4!
Pepe.
Once upon a time there was a frog, his name was Pepe.
According to a legend, he fell into a magical pond many years ago.
Since then he’s been telling stories, memes to be precise.
That is how the story of one of the most beloved NFT collectible projects out there started!
The Pepe team aim has always been the creation of a collection with the needs of collectors in mind.
It has from day one focused on providing collectors with cards that not only offer high-end artwork but also come with various unique features that aim to increase the user experience and thus increasing the value of the cards.
They do so by focusing on secondary markets, burn mechanisms and ultimate scarcity.
Pack parties, trade ups, single packs with a twist and much more await you in the world of Pepe!
But let us start by looking at the various rarity levels a Pepe card can have.
A card stars with the RAW level, an example of which is the picture above.
The drop chance for this rarity level is 63.8%
The next rarity level of a card is the Magic Pond rarity level.
A card of this rarity level comes with a drop chance of 24%.
Following we find the Royal rarity level.
A card of this rarity level comes with a drop chance of 8%.
On our way to the top we are now at the Cosmic rarity level.
A card of this rarity level comes with a drop chance of 3.10%
We have now arrived at the Ultimate rarity level.
A card of this rarity level comes with a drop chance of just 1%
Finally we arrive at the rarest of rare cards! The Artifact rarity level.
With a drop chance of just 0.10% this is the rarity level all Pepe collectors aim to have!
But how can one get the Pepe cards?
Well it is pretty easy!
All one has to do is to go to gopepe.io where the official store is located as well as the marketplace.
The cards come in single packs where you find one card per pack.
In starter packs where you get 10 cards per pack
And on whale packs where you will receive 50 cards.
You should also keep an eye on the special packs that appear on various occasions.
An example you can see above from the recent Halloween collection that contains 25 cards.
A unique feature is the party packs.
With a party pack a group of 10 or 50 friends can come together and share the happiness of opening a pack together.
To upgrade your card to the next rarity level you need to have 5 duplicate cards.
When you have 5 same cards you can go to gopepe.io and exchange them for a same card of the next rarity level!
The latest addition is the Pepe’s Vault!
Every week, Pepes’ Vault receives deliveries of fresh WAXP.
These deliveries include 25% of all author fee income on secondary markets and 10% of all primary sales income.
All this income is shared between the participants of the looting party based on their contribution.
The concept is pretty simple!
By contributing cards to the looting party you collect points.
The more points you collect the higher your contribution tier is, thus the bigger your share of the loot will be!
As you can see there are 7 tiers!
And is worth it to try to get to the highest tier as the loot is every week getting bigger and bigger as the Pepe world expands and more people join in!
Be aware!
After every looting the points reset!
And not only that!
The contributions made are finite and cannot be reversed, these cards are burned forever!
But it is worth it!
Pepe’s Throne, the new collection, is now available and I must say the artwork is fantastic!
