Yesterday I posted about the exciting news all of us CoinGecko 'candies' users had been waiting for: the Access Protocol airdrop is being distributed today. In addition to the details we learned over the last few days (and I'd really recommend reading through the linked official announcements on ACS's Medium and Discord from yesterday's post), a few more exciting details have come out that I felt it warranted another updated post.

Bonus Liquid Airdrop!

The most exciting detail to me coming out of the Twitter AMA is that airdrop participants will be receiving their staking rewards in CoinGecko's pool as planned, will receive a bonus airdrop directly to our Solana wallets! I only had enough CoinGecko candies to redeem one of the 250 ACS staking airdrops, but I've also received 827 ACS tokens in my Phantom wallet this morning. Thanks, Access Protocol!

But wait - there's more! In addition to this bonus airdrop, Access Protocol posted a Discord announcement that there will be yet another two additional airdrops for "Access Protocol users" utilizing undistributed tokens from bot accounts that were not validated during this airdrop campaign. Snapshots will be taken on March 1st and April 1st. At the time of writing, it hasn't been made clear if "Access Protocol users" refers to those interacting with the app, those holding in on-chain wallets, those trading on exchanges, or any other qualifier.

Exchanges, Did You Say?

Yep! Right before yesterday's Twitter AMA, ByBit was announced as the first exchange partner, with coming in with their own announcement right at the tail-end of the event. Since then, three other exchanges have been announced: KuCoin, Gate, and MEXC.

Of course, Access Protocol is now listed on CoinGecko (see above), and I'm anxiously awaiting to see how trading goes when it starts at 5pm UTC today!

Access Application

The Access Application just went live this morning - all you'll need to do is connect the wallet you used to participate in the airdrop. The app has a great layout, but (as expected) it doesn't appear to be fully functional at the moment. I've run into a few dead links, and I don't believe the airdrop and locked amounts are displaying properly quite yet. But in any case, I'm excited to see how this project grows, and what other partners are slated to be added.

So those are the updates this morning! If you participated in this airdrop, how are you feeling about it so far?  So far I'm fairly impressed with most of the process for this airdrop, and I hope CoinGecko will consider similar projects for us to spend our candies on in the future.
