So it would appear that the NFL, The New York Jets and Ticketmaster have teamed up to produce a Commemorative NFL #JETSNFT
"Jets fans who purchase a ticket to and attend Jets vs. Bucs presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, January 2, 2022 will receive a complimentary Virtual Commemorative Ticket via the Ticketmaster Marketplace".
At the time of this blogs posting the January 2nd NFL game has already happened. Buccaneers-28 Jets-24 but the NFT's from that game are out there!
So what is a
Basically in a nut shell a NFT (Non Fungible Token)is a virtual collectible card (like old school baseball cards) that you own and can sell or trade on some blockchains. These Commemorative NFT are of your ticket from attending the Game.
I personally don't own any NFTs but I find them fascinating. I'm curious to see how well they hold their value in the next 10 years and and am excited about the possibility of future NFT creation and where the market might go.
