Kickstarting your journey in World of Cryptoids and don’t know where to start? Don’t worry! We are here to tell you four things to consider when you begin your adventure in the Cryptoids metaverse!

The first thing is stats. All Cryptoids have four stats to define their ability, and each of them has specific purposes, they are:

: Health points dictate the maximum amount of damage a Cryptoid could suffer before getting knocked out. Therefore, a Cryptoid with more HP is good for soaking up damage for your team.

: Speed is the attribute that determines how fast your Cryptoids could use their ability within a turn; the higher the speed, the faster they go.

Speed is a crucial factor to consider as you could have a chance to knock out the opposing Cryptoids before they could retaliate with a higher speed.

If two Cryptoids are tied in speed, this is how the attack order will be determined: Higher speed > Lower HP > Higher Skill > Higher Luck > Lower Fighter ID.

: Skill adds damage when a Cryptoid uses a combo (playing multiple cards in the same turn)

: Luck determines a Cryptoid’s critical strike and Last Miracle chance. Every damaging ability has a chance to be a critical strike and double the damage of that hit, drastically increasing the damage output of a Cryptoid.

The last miracle is a state Cryptoids could enter when receiving a fatal blow. A Cryptoid could use a few more abilities during the Last Miracle before going down. With the right timing, Last Miracle could turn the tide of the battle.

No Cryptoid is perfect; in other words, if a Cryptoid excels in one or two attributes, it is most likely compensated in the rest. There are two key factors affecting a Cryptoids’s stats: Race & Body parts.

RACE ADVANTAGES

Next, let’s talk about the race of Cryptoids. There are SIX different races of Cryptoids in this metaverse, and each race will affect the stats of Cryptoids.

There are race advantages in WoC, which means every race is more potent against one while weak against another: Animal>Vitamin>Fashion>Food>Technology>Spirit.

Every Cryptoid will deal 15% more damage to the race they are strong against and 15% less to those they are weak against. For example, Spirit Cryptoids deal 15% more damage to Animal Cryptoids while dealing 15% less to Technology Cryptoids.

In addition, there is a same-race effect bonus system in World of Cryptoids. When a Cryptoid uses the same-race type ability card, it will receive a 10% bonus in effects (attack/shield).

Important to know that this bonus stacks with race advantages, which means a Spirit Cryptoid with a Spiritscard against an Animal Cryptoid will do 25% (10% + 15%) additional damage!

DIFFERENT BODY PARTS

Aside from race, body parts will also affect the stats of the Cryptoid. There are SIX body parts: ears, weapon, horns, tail, eyes, and mouths. Based on the race of the body parts, the Cryptoid will be given a different stats boost.

Among all the body parts, four of them will each grant an ability card for Cryptoids, and they are ears, weapons, horns, and tails.

Therefore, having the right body parts for the right Cryptoids is crucial when you are picking a Cryptoid for the job.

WHAT ROLE YOUR CRYPTOIDS COULD FIT IN?

Different Cryptoids are good at a specific aspect based on different body parts and races. It is possible that they could fit in one or more categories. In general, there will be three categories different Cryptoids could fit into: Tanks, Attackers, and Supports.

: They are your first line of defense who are good at soaking up damage for its team. HP and defensive ability, such as self-healing and damage reduction, are some good attributes to look for. For example, food and Fashion Cryptoids have a relatively higher HP base.

Although Technology Cryptoids are not entirely on par on HP stats, some of their ability cards have good tank quality.

Attackers: The attacker is your damage dealer and your key to winning in the game. Most of the attackers will have at least two 100+ damaging cards in their arsenal.

As the old saying goes “Offense is the best defense”. Attackers usually sacrifice their survivability and utility for raw power.

Although many races could qualify as a good attacker, an attribute to consider for an attacker is Luck. Animal and Vitamin have a higher base Luck to have a higher chance to double their attack with a critical strike.

Supports: This is the type of Cryptoids that could provide utility for your team. Healing, buffing, debuffing or applying conditions is some strategic alternative to consider.

What we have covered so far is just a reference for you to consider when putting together your dream team. However, the possibility of team composition is only limited by your imagination. So, by all means, go wild and explore every combination in this metaverse.
