Why Helium (HNT) is Great...but Advertises Falsely...

A while back I signed up for Helium on the promise that I would get a hotspot. After watching the videos, and signing up for their hotspot, I registered the address, and waited for my emails...

After seeing emails ONLY for their webinars, I started to ask more questions, and never got an answer...where is my hotspot.

They said that it was "reserved". I thought, ok, that sucks, but I will wait for a totally free hotspot. But email after email continued to talk about registering and paying for a "limited amount of seats..."

I later found that the way you get to get a hotspot, is if you register for the webinar, and a "lucky person" will get one.

That too is fair, since it is their platform, and their hotspots, but what about those who had been waiting, and can't pay. Their hook was a free WiFi upon registering an account. That I did...but then I was waiting. To me, it was waiting to be skipped over for someone who pays...

That reminded me of why the Ethereum gas fee is so high... The miners skipped over smaller transactions to grab those bigger ones who could afford what they were charging...

I doubt I will ever see my Helium hotspot, and that is because they are pandering to those with cash, and skipping those who have little to spare.
