Where is there no longer any emphasis on decentralization in crypto?

I can't help to feel a bit of hopelessness when I see people cheering FedNow partnering up with the crypto project Hedera.

Have people totally given up on the idea that crypto should be an alternative to the financial systems corruption?

I get that everyone, especially lately, are desperate to get a better financial situation for themselves, but should it really be at the expense of actually having a fair, open financial system?

I think that Bitcoin has shown that a truly decentralized crypto project can still be financially rewarding for its investors, and I really hope that other projects start focusing on that aspect, instead of the glitz and glam of higher TPS and faster development, personally.
