It has been quite a long time since KUCOIN announced its partnership with Visa to bring KuCard.
There has been a lot of hype around it I have even signed up for the waitlist. Tbh I thought I would be using the KuCard by now! But to my disappointment it did not happen. And wee still don't know when or if the card will ever be delivered.
I have heard some rumor's that Visa has suspended partnerships due to the market conditions. If that is true then we wont see KuCard until the next Bull cycle. Which is a bit disappointing. Quite a lot of people use crypto anyways and the KuCard would be virtual to start with anyways, and major selling point was integration with Google and Apple pay.
The website still says that the card is coming soon.
But what does the soon mean. It has been already 9 months since they have announced it. People were saying soon in different places and the soon turned out to be years and that is not soon if you ask me.
Would be cool to finally get a card with proper Google and Apple pay integration.
I guess will have to wait and see when the soon becomes reality.
What other options do we have?
Currently only CRYPTO.COM and Curve seem to be the most viable options but if you live in Europe you have to order physical cards to be able to use Google and Apple pay with curve and Crypto.com does not offer Google and Apple pay in Europe at all. It is bizarre how stifled the integration in Europe is, we have to do all the workarounds...
