When The Frontend is gone

About a year ago the yam craze hit for about a day.    Well in that first and only day of the great yam hype I thought it would be a good idea to try to liquidity mine some yam so I put the little amount of the YFI token that I had in the yamv1 YFI pool.

Later on the same day the price went to almost nothing but at that time the little bit of YFI that was in the contract was worth much less than the gas it would have cost to get it out. This morning the gas prices were low enough that a wanted to try to get it out.

Their was one problem with that the yam site has completely changed the frontend. They have removed the ability to unstack my YFI from the site.   That was going to be a problem, or so I thought. I had to go through my eth transactions that I had done with that wallet and find the contract that I had sent my YFI to. After I found the contract I needed to connect my METAMASK with the same address that I had sent my tokens from.

you’ll get a metamask pop-up, validate the connection, now you just need to go to exit  and hit the button that says write and confirm the tx in your metamask of course you do need some eth for gas.  That is how you can remove your tokens from any contract with or without a frontend.
