What Makes Brave Browser "Brave"?

If you've been a fan of Mozilla Firefox, then you'll probably love BRAVE Browser! Firefox has been a fan favorite for over a decade because of its stability, security, and overall ease of use. Its compatibility with many web apps has made it one of the most common ways to browse the internet (from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0). As the digital era of computing begins to rise, there was something called "Web 3.0" and the dawn of crypto transactions.

During this period, many browsers would rely on their app stores to host new crypto-related applications that would interact with various websites. There were even a few articles that recommended getting a standalone desktop application that could handle interactions with web applications. While this initially may have seemed like a workable thing, many of the pioneers in the crypto world soon found out that it was getting a bit cumbersome to go between various applications to work on web-based apps or the new and sleek "Dapps" (or decentralized applications).

This is where Brave Browser entered the scene. Founded by one of the co-founders of the legendary Mozilla Firefox, Brave Browser takes the idea of browser security, speed, and user-friendliness one "Brave" step further into the world of crypto and Defi. The introduction of the Brave wallet allows users to seamlessly interact with various websites and decentralized applications that accept crypto as a form of payment. They also use a "reward" token called BAT (or Basic Attention Token).

Brave users who opt into Brave ad rewards can view a set amount of ads per hour. By clicking on these Brave-sponsored pop-up ads, users will get a reward in BAT. These rewards could serve as your investment in the token or could be converted into a wide selection of cryptocurrencies of your choosing through the Uphold exchange. You could also use your BAT rewards to 'donate' to your favorite websites if you so choose.

After seeing so many online ads, you may have become accustomed to ignoring them or completely blocking them. Brave takes care of ads with its own built-in ad-blocking system that allows you to focus on the ads that actually get you some BAT. Now, you might think, "well, Brave ads will probably just be as cheesy as the rest, right?". Not exactly.

Most of the ads on Brave have might pique your interest at the very least. They introduce new Defi areas to explore, show some interesting areas of the NFT realm, and introduce new crypto projects that might have a powerful potential in the future. As always, it's good to do your own research, but Brave ads seem like a great way to get more exposed to the wonderful world of crypto.

If you are a Brave Browser user, what features do you like to use? What updates are you looking forward to in the future? Most of all, what makes Brave Browser, "Brave" to you?
