What is XCAD Network?
XCAD has brought the “Watch-to-Earn” revolution straight to us. They have been fully doxxed since May 2021 and bring regular updates to the platform. They have an excellent team behind the project and they listen to the community and take all suggestions very seriously.
But what is XCAD Network? Basically, you get paid crypto for watching YouTube videos from the biggest channels, so XCAD Network is really pioneering the watch-to-earn space. YouTube creators are really loving this opportunity, if they get their channels put on XCAD Network they will get more views and potentially increase their monthly income from YouTube whilst connecting with fans like never before.
How to Get Started
To get started with earning PLAY and XCAD tokens you first need to download the app which is available on Android and also as a Chrome based extension browser. Personally I use the extension rather than the XCAD Network app. If you go to www.xcadnetwork.com and click on the 3 lines in the top right and the “Download” at the bottom. It will take you to this page. In the step 1 box, you can see you have the options for the Android app or the Extension. Install the app or extension and then follow the on-screen instructions to set up and create your account.
How to Buy a Nerd NFT
Now that you have set up and created your account, when you open the App or Extension you will see this screen. If you click on “Play” at the bottom, this will take you to the earning section.
I believe you need a code to access the Play area, I have left my access code so feel free to use this, if you do end up using this, I appreciate it greatly and thank you for the support.

Now that the Play section has been enabled, to be able to earn “PLAY” and “XCAD” tokens you first need to mint or buy a Nerd NFT. You can do this in 2 ways:
1 - Clicking on “Buy” and then purchasing with BNB (see pic below)
2 - Buy with PLAY tokens via the Marketplace
There are 5 different rarities of NFTs you can buy. Basic, Common, Mystery, Rare, Legendary. Each one has its own level of rewards, so for example basic won’t earn as much per video compared to a Legendary NFT. I started 7 days ago and bought 2 Nerd NFTs for $170 each. At the current market price of “PLAY” tokens, this is making me around $4 - 5 per day.
To buy an NFT, since all the XCAD tokens are based on BINANCE Smart Chain (BEP-20), all you need to do is send enough BNB to your XCAD wallet. Click on the BNB icon at the top, click “Deposit” and then select “Deposit BNB”. You then have access to your deposit address and from here it is easy to deposit BNB from your chosen wallet or Exchange. Always double check the address you are sending to and always make sure you are sending from the correct chain.
Once you have enough BNB in your wallet, go back to “Play” and select “Buy” in this box here (see pic). Select which Rarity you want to buy, you can see the estimated price in dollars here (see pic below).
If you have the required amount of BNB in your wallet, this icon will say “BUY”. Since I don’t have enough BNB to buy another NFT, I can’t show you this process but if you follow the on-screen instructions you will be fine. After minting your Nerd NFT, you will see it appear under “My Nerds” a few minutes after buying it.
NFT Levels
After you have minted your NFT, you can view it under “My Nerds”. Click on it and then click on “More Details”, this will bring up a whole load of stats. I am new to XCAD Network so I am just working everything out too, so I apologise if I miss something out or give the wrong info.
You can see here, (see pic below) my Nerd is specialised in “Sports”, this means I earn more for watching sport content on YouTube. Currently my Nerd is sitting at Level 16, my understanding is the more you level your Nerds up, the more PLAY tokens you can potentially earn for every video you watch. You can also hold up to a maximum of 6 Nerd NFTs on one account.
How to Earn PLAY Tokens
So you are probably wondering how you can earn PLAY tokens, let me show you exactly how to do this. If you click on “Play” at the bottom and scroll down, you will see a whole list of different channels. I mentioned earlier about the Nerds speciality, so keep this in mind when you purchase your own NFT. Since this Nerd’s speciality is Sports, I will click on “All Specialities” and select “Sports”. Click on any of the channels and it will open up in your browser. Select any of the videos to watch, you should receive a pop up (see pic below) notification roughly 10 seconds after opening the video.
Two more things should happen to let you know that you are now getting paid for watching the video:
1 - The extension should now show the channel you are watching (see pic)
2 - The timeline bar will change from YT’s standard bar to a dotted bar (see pic)
If you have all of these, then well done, you are now getting paid for watching your first YouTube video. Another thing to keep in mind to earn PLAY tokens is you need to watch 80% of the video. Once this has been reached, you will receive your PLAY tokens under NFT Earnings (see pic).
After 24 hours, the earnings are then moved to “Unclaimed Tokens” where you can claim your rewards and withdraw them.
Watches & NFT Repair
To make this platform sustainable, XCAD Network has developed a way so that PLAY tokens are put back into the ecosystem and hopefully this results in the token not being manipulated and losing its value long term.
Each Nerd NFT has a maximum of 5 watches, after you watch a video the red play button turns from red to grey (see pic).
After 5 watches you need to repair your NFT, this is where PLAY tokens come in. Each rarity NFT costs a different amount of PLAY to fully repair. To repair, click on your Nerd and it will take you to the repair screen. You can see how many PLAY tokens it costs to repair your NFT (see pic below) along with a transaction fee which costs nothing.
For basic, this has been between 10 and 11 PLAY tokens. Personally I don’t mind repairing my NFT everyday, as I am still making profit from watching the 5 videos on a daily basis. It usually takes 1-2 minutes for your Nerd to repair and then you can go back to using it again when you have enough watches.
How to Claim
The PLAY tokens you earn from the day before are usually claimable within 24 hours, from my experience this can take as little as 12 hours to become claimable. To Claim your tokens, go to PLAY and in this box click on “Claim Rewards” and then click the “Request” box.
This will move your PLAY tokens to the Claim area where you can see previous claims and this is where you can also claim your PLAY tokens you just requested.
Please remember that claiming does require a small amount of BNB to cover the transaction fee. It is only a very small amount, so I usually wait until I have around $10 worth of PLAY tokens before I make a claim, this way I don’t eat too much into my total profit.
Payment Proof
After you have successfully claimed, you will see your PLAY tokens appear in your wallet. You can easily swap your tokens to BNB, XCAD or just hold them as PLAY. It is entirely up to you what you do with your earnings. Again, when you are swapping to another coin, please take into account the small BNB transaction fee.
You can see here (see pic below) that I claimed 98 PLAY tokens on 22nd August 2023 and swapped them to XCAD and BNB.
I am swapping 20% to XCAD and 80% to BNB, I am just going to hold my XCAD tokens as I think it could pump in the next bull run. It is also important to get your ROI back, so keep this in mind too.
How to Withdraw
The in-built wallet is really easy to use. For example if you want to withdraw your BNB holdings, click on “wallet” at the bottom and then select “BNB” which opens up this page (see pic below), here you can see recent transactions and 3 options, “Send”, “Deposit” & “Swap”.
Before you can make a withdrawal you will need to set up 2FA and add a wallet address which takes 48 hours to approve. If you click on “Send”, you can add your address here (see pic below) and after 48 hours have passed you will be able to withdraw your coins or tokens to your chosen wallet.
After your address has been approved, click on it and it will take you to this screen (see pic).
Input the amount of BNB you want to send into the box or press “MAX” if you want to send it all. Click on “Calculate Transaction Fee”, you will see the transaction fee appear (see pic below) and then click on “Send Tokens” to finalise the transaction.
Extra Ways to Earn
Not only is there the Play section where you earn PLAY and XCAF tokens, XCAD Network have also created a Fan Token area. You can earn extra tokens from viewing your favourite creators. At the minute, the list is quite small and I am sure they will keep updating this as time goes on. This is a very interesting feature, however it does require you to buy an egg. I have bought the basic egg for around $6 but I haven't looked into this too much and will make more videos on this when I have figured out how it works.
Final Verdict
I really like the idea of this platform, it has a great team behind it and I think it has a good future. Here is the roadmap for Q3 and Q4 (see pic below), they have a lot of exciting things in the mix and this makes me confident about the long term sustainability of this platform.
