There once was a cat with a hat,
Who sat on a mat, just like that.
He'd tip his hat high,
As he watched the sky,
And purr a tune, just like a brass band's rat-a-tat.
This cat, he had quite a routine,
He'd nap in the sun and eat sardines.
But when he got up, He'd give his hat a tug,
And set out on adventures so keen!
He'd climb tall trees and swim in streams,
And chase after birds, or so it seems.
He'd play with the mice, And roll in the rice,
And have the best time, or so it dreams.
So if you see a cat with a hat,
Sitting on a mat, just like that,

just maybe, you'll hear a purr, bye-bye!
