What I Have Learned Being In Crypto...

Do repost and rate:

I still don't know everything when it comes to crypto, and I am sure few can say they understand crypto fully.

But what I do understand, is that crypto is not like fiat.

Obviously, not all cryptocurrencies are the same, and many would say there is Bitcoin, and there are cryptocurrencies.

Those who say this do so to show that Bitcoin is superior to all other blockchains, and that may be true.

I hold various coins, and am not as biased as some.

I digress.

From the early days, the notion of one Dogecoin equaled 1 Dogecoin was a thing.

I for one agree with that, and the same goes for Bitcoin.

I have learned that the majority of people don't see it that way and are ok with it being tied to a fiat price, which is ironic seeing that crypto was created to start a new currency that wasn't tied to anything.

I've learned that you can't please everyone with a new blockchain project because the space is so diluted.

Thousands of layer 1 cryptos are fighting to be #2, trying to dethrone Ethereum, because Bitcoin is out of their league.

Very few people are living on the Bitcoin Standard, because of its volatility. (My next post will get into this more.)

Government doesn't like competition, and is trying to destroy stablecoins.

The FED and the SEC have a coordinated attack targeting exchanges, stablecoins, and security coins because of the fiat/crypto on-off ramps, and because they hate crypto.

I've learned that hacks are a part of this space, just as much as it is part of the fiat space.

Crypto isn't unique in hacks, phishing attempts, thefts, and fraud.

Most happen with bank accounts and have to do with online security.

It's an odd life, and to live on crypto is to run into some roadblocks. Lately, many of these challenges have been solved due to tech in the space, and we see it advancing daily.

But all in all, I have learned to be patient. I was the guy who would receive $50 USD in crypto through various sites, and quickly spend it on UberEATS.

But, like anything worth anything, it takes time.
