What are Utility Tokens? A short answer :)

These are tokens that are primarily designed for accessing products or services on the specific platforms for which they are designed. However, their functions do not end there, as they are fundamental in the development of the cryptocurrency of such platforms than can become carriers of value and able to be exchanged in the cryptocurrency market place, or stored as an investment.

Bitcoin in contrast, is a payment token used to replace Fiat ($USD, for example).  While most sites will accept BTC, MANA or LAND are only accepted at their sites.  

Currently, most of the tokens that are in circulation are utility tokens, meaning they have a value due to the function or property they represent.

For example, Spectrue (STRUE) is an Ethereum ERC-20 standard-based token that is used for interactions with the premium services in the future SpecTruth's metaverse.  The premium services will be for creating dating profiles, purchases 3d virtual kiosks, buying NFTs, and upgrading AI virtual friends.
