The Cosmos founder's solution to the current spat?
Simply split from the Cosmos Hub(Informal Systems) under-handed shite,
to create a new L2 Chain instance in the Cosmos Hub Network and,
take those who agree (and your staked ATOMs) with you to build your own area of interest, per this recent Medium post discussing same.
Imo he is absolutely right to get back to his original road map.
The dPOS staked distributed voting mechanism with in the Cosmos Hub Network is the BIG differentiation imo vs. everything else out there in the cryptosphere, when it comes to keeping project momentum and velocity.
Without getting into the Cosmos IBC & AIB shenanigans causing the split in the Cosmos HUB team (follow the other links on the first link above to learn about the gory details splitting the Informal Systems team at the moment),
let us as thinkers take that Cosmos ATOM 'BIG diff' set of capabilities advantage a few more steps forward, (applied to Canada and USA voting)
and you will begin to see
there is every reason to believe the current COSMOS HUB Network voting and governance capabilities will overtime and, maybe fuelled by political necessity,
become part of the FOSS tech cornerstones needed by evoter developers to spawn many more useful transparent voting system DAOs serving 'us the people', worldwide.
Staked eVoting in Municipal, State/Prov. and Federal Elections?
Why not. Each voter gets their own NFT token, a unique one, which can be re-used over and over again to place their vote, placed on top of a COSMOS L2 Chain, one for each level of government.
Humanity desperately needs the Jae Kwon(inventor of Tendermint) Cosmos Hub Network's voting & governance capabilities,
which are nicely surfacing into what I call 'areas of interest', or these Cosmos 'ATOM Economic Zones' as described in the CHJANGO Medium post link above,

Lobby Groups R US- ATOM* Staking in Group Force
which right now have COSMOS Network HUB Inter-Blockchain investors connected to allow their 'staked ATOM' interests to walk so to speak 'with their feet', and still keep their staked voting privilege, staked this time behind an alternative 'area of interest', to still hold measurable sway over the direction of the ATOM powered Cosmos Hub Network Interchain.
These areas of interest or 'AEZs' per the post mentioned above actually focus in on and,
to some degree the economic prosperity of the interested parties forming these 'areas of interest
the context 'push/pull' resistance of other 'areas of interests (think lobby groups).
Yes COSMOS HUB Network is a new big voting experiment as the post says, as big as what happened in 1776, repleat with multiple 'areas of interests' which stake (put their money where their mouths are) ATOMS to effect outcomes.

These COSMOS HUB Network BIG Diff capabilities will ensure any ATOMs staked aside behind a winning proposal (67% majority ?) will be spent on developers and testers,
held accountable to do the right thing for we the people as a whole involved in the Cosmos Hub Network projects. (or get slashed/turned off, see no funds for development)
n.b- One Unlikely Big Caveat per the current situation at Informal Systems pre Split is where one side of the emerging split has been entertaining a nasty group of oligarchs powered by the #WEF and #Soros Cadres et al who, until the upcoming Informal Systems Split, are imo Buchman facilitated and continue to soft fork the roadmap of the COSMOS direction by promoting 'human rights violating' vaccine ID support et al, with the aforementioned nasty_capitalists likely posing/hiding as various staked voting groups led by their own puppets in their attempt to garner 67% of the consensus vote, per proposal) to have Cosmos Hub Network go their way.

Right now, the various 60+ L2 chains now interconnecting to makeup the Cosmos Hub Network are really a reflection imo, of the way we humans organize into our 'areas of interest', let's call them groups/gangs/cadres/tribes to actually work towards prosperity and a positive outcome, when we communicate and work together to create a WIN/WIN/WIN outcome (which is really hard, takes time, yaddayadda)

that is, COSMOS HUB Network all works nicely to settle business transactions and road map disputes by having those not in agreement with current proposal outcome staking their ATOMs behind their own proposals to counter and also to ensure their voice/road map ideas are heard by all transparently, to let us people also staking ATOMs weigh in behind the proposals we see adding value to benefit everyone's prosperity, not just a few self interested types.
