Several Updates and pieces of information have been shared over the last few weeks by Unibright, Provide and their partners. And just incase people were still not aware - Unibright and Provide have both adopted the UBT token, so any news related to either company leads to the adoption of the token. On Friday the 9th of July Stefan Schmidt, CTO of Unibright gave the following update about various developments, as well as Baseledger (LINK)
Dear Community,
A short update from the Buidlers.
Baseledger development is going very well. The term "development" is a bit of an understatement, considering the work we put into it and the connections we build in parallel "behind the scenes".
It is not "just" about the technical development of the consensus layer of a blockchain and about the technical integration with the Provide Baseline-as-a-Service stack. It is also about ensuring compatibility with the upcoming Baseline V1 standard (to which we actively contribute). And it is also about enabling adjacent industries (for example financial services) that want to BASE their products on baselined processes, so that they can sell their products better.
The reasons why we are still a bit more silent in terms of news are actually great reasons: Compared to 2018 and 2019 where we mostly worked with innovation managers who wanted to impress their superiors, we now work with those superiors who want to impress their clients!
That is why everything is about building Baseledger as a part of a productive stack, using UBT (+staking and proxy-staking) as the Universal Business Token that is mandatory for using the products and services and at the same time acts as a revenue share and reward mechanism.
Team is working hard, spirit is great, detailed news with "names" (partners, clients, events) will be shared once they are 100% confirmed and safe to do so.

Development Demo - 14th of July
There is so much going within the Baseline Protocol, with Unibright, Provide and their partners at the heart of it all. The teams are often keen to demonstrate what they have been adding to the "Providibright" tech stack and their "Baseline as a service" offering - Shuttle.
On the 14th of July they showed a demo of how Shuttle can be used to Baseline records stored on Microsoft Excel. The full office hours can be viewed here:
Baseledger going live? when!?
There is still no date for when Baseledger "goes live", but according to both Unibright and Provide, progress is good. Kyle is often on various live panels and calls and did indicate he hopes for various aspects of Shuttle to be released open source, Baseledger to go live by end of summer. That could mean a testnet is coming very soon - but this is still speculation, and set date has not been given. It will be ready when it's ready!
