UFF Sports Partners with Cudos to Deliver Interactive Platform for Fans and Athletes on the Metaverse

UFF Sports, two emerging platforms seeking to leave a positive mark on the booming sports industry, have partnered to deliver, for the first time, sports into the metaverse. In the last couple of months, metaverse has become one of the buzzwords in the tech space. A new 3D interactive internet, in a nutshell, metaverse supports interactive digital environments through augmented and virtual reality. 

This blooming partnership will see UFF, a sports-based NFT ecosystem, and Cudos, a layer one blockchain and a layer two Oracle and computing network work together to bring sports into the metaverse. This will incorporate non-fungible tokens [NFTs] into a world where athletes and fans alike can profit and grow. According to an earlier press release from UFF Sports, this project will be a global initiative that will run on the Cudos blockchain and subsequently be integrated into the UFF Sports platform. 

Speaking to reporters about this agreement and the platform it will advance, Vice President of Sales at Cudos, Pete Hill, affirms that both brands are firm believers in onboarding NFTs and sports fans into the metaverse.

How Cudos and UFF Sports will Accelerate this Vision 

As part of the agreement, UFF Sports will leverage the Zilliqa blockchain’s decentralized application, high scalability, and low cost to create a sophisticated ecosystem where athletes can immediately kick off their virtual careers based on the digital versions of themselves as NFTs. Through the inclusion of fantasy sports, crypto financing, gaming, and the existing array of metaverse possibilities, this ecosystem will provide athletes with a revenue generation mechanism. 

This system, as further revealed in the official press release, will allow fans to seamlessly interact and invest in their favorite athletes. To create a longer-lasting memory, UFF Sports will incorporate athletes that have passed away, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to relive memories with their deceased favorites. 

On the other hand, Cudos will not only build infrastructure but will offer innovative advice and connect UFF Sports to its global system. Under the agreement, the sports-based NFT ecosystem will leverage Cudos’ decentralized computing network to deliver a dependable compute power and security of the central points of the ecosystem. To further solidify this consortium, the UFF development team will invest heavily in the Cudos native token, CUDOS. Through ownership of this token, they will run a UFF Sports dedicated node. 

Speaking on this partnership and how it will impact the future of the sports industry, founder of UFF Sports, Tony Charanduk described it as “perfect”, further stating that Cudos, as a nascent blockchain with an innovative team, will collaborate hand in hand with UFF Sports to give athletes from all sports, at all levels, an unprecedented opportunity to leverage the immense power of the metaverse and NFTs with millions of fans right behind them.
