Types of launchpads and how to make money on it
Launchpad is a platform where the primary sale of tokens (token sale) is carried out by crypto projects.
Tokensale is an initial public sale of tokens. The number of tokens that you can buy on a token sale is called an allocation.
(Initial Exchange Offering) - token sale on major exchanges (Binance, Huobi, OKEx). To participate, you usually need to stake an exchange token in a certain pool and an allocation is charged for this.
(Initial Direct Offering) - tokensales on special platforms like DAO Maker and Polkastarter. To participate, you need to stake the tokens of a specific site in the pool. For this, you will receive a guaranteed allocation, or a chance to participate in a token sale. But it's not yet certain that you'll be lucky.
Such sites hold whitelist lotteries: they give a chance to buy project tokens for completing simple tasks and you don’t need to stake anything.
(Initial Farm Offering) is a token sale format on PancakeSwap. We discussed tomorrow's IFO in more detail in the post.
(Initial Coin Offering) - initial coin offering. Passes on Coinlist and Tokensoft. To participate, you do not need to stake anything: just register an account, take part in a specific sale separately. The winners will be determined in the lottery format, they will have the opportunity to buy tokens of the new project.
(Initial Game Offering) - the initial offer of gaming NFTs. This includes sales of NFT boxes, virtual lands and other gaming resources.
is the process of blocking part of the liquidity (LUNA tokens) in exchange for "free" tokens of the new project. Usually, the lock of LUNA tokens occurs for 1 year. But you get new project tokens and LUNA is returned to you in a year.
Parachains (Polkadot, KSM) — similar to lockdrop, only with Polkadot and Kusama tokens. In the case of parachains, you still need to "guess" which project will win the slot and vote with DOT / KSM tokens in favor of it. DOT and KSM are blocked for a year, and you get a new token if the project wins in the parachain. If the project did not win, then DOT and KSM are returned to the balance without loss.
