We're almost one month into the biggest Tezos hackathon up to date. Over 1,000 devs have signed up and 11 workshops have been given so far. I'll post the first 5 workshops here today.
The first workshop is provided by Baking Bad. Their team has been around since 2017. They are mostly known for their rating website for Tezos bakers. Baking Bad also brought us Atomex, the Hybrid DEX and HD Wallet enabling atomic swaps on Tezos. Baking Bad dev tools: Better call dev explorer, Python SDK, C# SDK, Michelson REPL, Faucet bot.
This workshop introduces you to the Tezos ecosystem and the general Tezos VM concepts and concludes with some live coding with Jupyter managing contracts.
The second workshop is provided by Truffle Suite, which used to only support Ethereum, but recently started to provide developer tools for the Tezos ecosystem.
This workshop introduces you to Truffle Suite, gives you a Tezos integration overview and a Truffle CLI crash course.
The third workshop is provided by SmartPy, which is a Python based smartcontract library for writing Tezos smart contracts. You can test the contracts locally, compile them to Michelson and deploy them on Tezos. This workshop introduces SmartPy.
The fourth workshop is provided by Taquito, another Tezos tool that helps you develop Tezos dApps. This workshop introduces you to Taquito with a demo app.
The fifth workshop is provided by TQ Tezos. TQ Tezos is a technology company building Tezos-based solutions and open source software for enterprises and developers. This workshop explains about the Tezos TZIP-12 FA2 tokenstandard. (The sophisticated version of ERC20). This video is also an interesting video for non-devs since it starts out with a great explanation about digital assets and traditional assets on blockchain and why a more sophisticated tokenstandard is necessary.
