Top ICO of the year thusfar...(StudentCoin)

Do repost and rate:

Raising well over 60 million dollars in finding in the first 4 months of the year, StudentCoin aims to allow students in colleges worldwide to generate and design their own tokens across several categories, including defi and nft. The platform also allows users to keep all of their tokens in one centrally located wallet, as well as provide easy swap between currencies, as well as educate students about various cryptos. On their site, they claim this to be the biggest ICO of 2021.

This is a good time to point out that all of what I say I this article is for entertainment purposes only, and not to be taken as financial advice. ??

Studentcoin's ICO

After announcing their partnerships with groups from the university of Harvard and the London School of Economics early in 2021, their ICO was already starting to pick up steam.  They would eventually, from Feb. 1st to Apr. 24 raise nearly 70 million dollars and hit their hard cap of tokens to be issued.

StudentCoin Stats + Early Trading

After their ICO wrapped up, trading has still been going on through WAVES Exchange, CoinTiger, Uniswap, and their first large exchange listing on Bithumb. So far I have found that the only listing through which you can not pay way too much is the WAVES Exchange StudentCoin/BTC pair. It will cost close to 2.5c of its for 1STC, whereas the other exchanges come in at 4-5c per. The ICO's closing price was 2.2c for clarification.

What I Like About the Idea

The idea that this coin and idea could allow colleges around the world to establish their own cryptocurrency is a nice one for further education and acceptance to arise for crypto. I also like how quickly they have become listed on several exchanges, and also that they are so close to a listing on bitcoin.com (May 9th). Furthermore, their coin exchange and partners also are a plus, and their education section reminds me very much so of Coinbase's, which I think will boost their traffic and usage.

Worries I Have

As another PUBLISH0X article pointed out, one of the biggest question marks is in the actual potential reach this platform can have between schools. It states it "connects students and organisations from over 500 of the world’s best universities" on their website, yet it only shows the school's names, not the group or fragment of the school they are actually connected to. Furthermore, many of the features are yet to be released, including its exchange, terminal and staking capabilities.

So, what do you think? I am on the fence, and will have to track its price moves more before jumping in. Also, I am waiting for the release of several key aspects to the system before risking anything. Let me know what you think below, and have a great day! May God bless!
