Back at it with Team Durant! Just so everyone knows the rules, I am going to rank the moments from Team Durant that are under $10. The ranking is based on the moment, the value, the player, and even the thumbnail! Yes the thumbnail matters! Let’s get started! Starting from 10 and counting down til 1!
Joel Embiid Hits a Fadeaway on Tristan Thompson ($6)
Starting off this list with a pretty weak moment but still its Joel Embiid in what was probably his best year. Also the arms spread as Joel is crossing the 76ers mid court logo is great. Its also great that they don’t show his face during that which is probably complaining about the no call. That lets you think he was taunting the Celtics or showing himself off which would have been much cooler.
Bradley Beal Crosses the Bulls and Finishes with a Layup ($8)
It’s a pretty lackluster moment all together but there’s only 15000 which is a nice addition. It has a pretty good thumbnail including the Wizards midcourt logo which could be pretty nice if Bradley Beal gets traded. All in all its nothing special but it’s a nice couple of moves and has a great thumbnail.
James Harden Euro Steps the Magic ($10)
This is one of the moments I wish said “Handles on”. Such a beautiful Euro-Step to get right past Khem Birch. And the thumbnail for is prime Fat Harden. Its really one of the only moments that you get fat Harden for and its such a delight to have. It’s a good moment from a future hall of famer and potential NBA Champion so I think $10 is more than worth it.
Kyrie Irving loses Cedi Osman for a Fadeaway ($5)
Kyrie Irving absolutely destroys Cedi Osman in this stunning move and hits a cool fadeaway. Just completely schools Cedi in what’s a signature move for Kyrie. I love the thumbnail for this one too, it just seems so clean and I love the Cavs court in the background. Which, might I add, is one of the coolest courts in the league. Another positive for this moment is the bench hugging in the background of the shot. I love seeing bench reactions on moments.
Zach LaVine Fast Break Dunk ($4)
Zach LaVine might be the nicest in game dunker I have ever seen. I feel like the tip over Kawhi is a pretty sweet addition to a super smooth dunk. Its only $4 too which is incredibly cheap for a young all star on a soon to be playoff team (hopefully?). This is also the star of a team in a huge market that has had a disappointing team for a very long time. So if the Bulls get better next year, which they should, and Zach is their leader, which he is, then this is a great moment.
Donovan Mitchells Insane Block on Tyrese Haliburton ($5)
I know Donovan Mitchell isn’t known for his defense but my goodness what a block. Blocks are the coolest moments on Topshots so I will always have them ranked high on any list. But it’s a wild block on Topshot’s golden boy, Tyrese Haliburton, by the favorites to come out of the West. It’s also a great way to get one of the premiere players in the NBA for the DFS style utilities the moments will have.
Jayson Tatum Side-Step 3 Pointer ($5)
Jayson Tatum pretty much carried the Celtics all season offensively and I’m not sure when that will happen again. If he doesn’t have to carry the offensive load like this, it’ll be a while until he breaks his career high again. So to own a moment of a young All Star’s career high, you’d be dumb to pass on this. Also if he does break his record, you get a moment that has an error in the description!
Anthony Davis Alley Oop and 1 Over Devin Booker ($5)
I understand that Anthony ‘Street Clothes’ Davis cost the lakers a title run this year just by being himself and getting injured, but this play is absolutely insane. If you buy this moment, your hope is that Davis comes back great next year, or the Lakers are relevant next year. News flash, the Lakers will always be relevant and Davis healthy will always be great. It’s actually absurd this moment is $5.
Devin Booker Game Winner over the Mavericks ($9)
Red hot Suns guard Devin Booker comes in at #2. It’s a great moment to summarize the season the Suns have had this year and Booker’s season. This is his first winning season in the league and this is his only affordable game winner. While its not the best Devin Bookers best game winner (nothing will top the Clippers bubble shot) it’s the one of the best bangs for your buck on Topshot.
Zion Williamson Dunks over the Knicks ($8)
You have everything you could want in this Topshot. You have Zion dunking, Julius Randle the Knicks Savior, RJ Barret, Brandon Ingram, the play is in Madison Square Garden, and the thumbnail is a beautiful shot of Zion in the air. There is just not much better that you can do for under $10.
