The Company DNA

When we were first planning the Tixl project, we all agreed that the culture of the company was going to be one of the most important things we needed to get right from the very start. What each of us lives, thinks, and puts into practice, drives us forward in both our personal and work lives. In a work environment, if everyone understands & appreciates the purpose of the company, people are driven by that and band together to help achieve the goals of that company and reach the targets set.

 

The Hiring Process

To make sure that we always hire the very best people for Tixl, we need to make sure that they not only have the very best technical expertise but that they are also a good fit for the culture. To achieve this, we work through the process below for every potential new employee:

  • The Interview Process?—?The hiring process is always very structured. It includes multiple interviews with different members of the team to ensure that the technical skills are there but also, importantly, that there is a cultural fit.
  • Inclusivity?—?We work hard to understand the unique strengths and capabilities of all kinds of people. Our hiring decisions are based on skills and values and we welcome people with a wide range of experience from diverse backgrounds. Also the willingness to learn can be more important than existing knowledge.
  • Getting it right for the long-term?—?Our industry is filled with things that are always urgent, but we will never compromise when it comes to adding new members to the team. Anytime there is a gap that needs filling, we take our time to do it.

 

Living the Culture?—?Every Day

The crypto market is constantly growing and changing, so we believe that no matter what role team members play within the organization it’s important to stay up to date with the latest developments?—?what affects the crypto market, affects Tixl. For this reason, all employees regularly share information, updates, and teachings about the crypto space. This mutual support and sharing of information helps build trust and strengthens the relationships within the company. We also have monthly feedback meetings and are regularly pushed out of our comfort zones.

We believe that having less hierarchy and more autonomy helps to maximize the motivation and capabilities of our team members and listening to the ideas and desires of each individual helps the group learn and improve as a whole.

 

Why focus on a supportive Culture?

A positive, inclusive culture brings many benefits for a team. It results in clear communication and helps with the speed of decision-making. It encourages innovation, attitude, and boldness?—?all attributes that are extremely important for any company, but especially one involved in the fast-moving cryptocurrency industry.

Positive energy, along with structured processes, means that team members can have an entrepreneurial mindset, knowing their ideas are appreciated and will always be considered.

 

A Meeting of the Minds

Our culture is also about fun and togetherness. Given what we are going through at the moment, it can be difficult to physically get together with people, or even “feel” together with workmates, friends, and family. To help with this “togetherness”, we make sure to have lunch meetings by video call and also have monthly chat/beer ;-) meetings.
