Three Legendary Cryptos. Which Is the Best?

In the world of crypto and DeFi, there have been many debates as to what is the "ultimate" coin that everyone should use. There are many 'legendary' cryptos, but for a moment, let's consider a world where are only three legendary cryptos. The challenge isn't really what is the best because, in principle, all of the top cryptos run on a blockchain; all of them are efficient, and all of them could be used as a secure means of payment. The challenge comes when there are high amounts of network usage and demand.

This "challenge" is called scalability. As the amount of users of crypto expands, we reach the 'sound barrier'. Once we get past this sound barrier, we might experience longer wait times for transferring funds from one wallet to another or longer delay times for payments to be received by the retailer. However, I think an important distinction to make is the difference between network congestion and blockchain efficiency. Both are two entirely different concepts that cannot be used synonymously, in my opinion.

You could have the best crypto that runs on the most efficient blockchain, but if you clog it with trillions of transactions, the result is the same. Delays. Lags. Network Congestion. And more time spent doing something else (like going to Pub0x and reading this interesting post). Therefore, we have to consider the three legendary cryptos in a different light. And that is "applicability".

In terms of applicability, each of the three legendary cryptos has its own special 'skill' that contributes to the thriving world of digital transactions. One crypto's quality might be its universality. Its wide recognition means that you could use it to pay for things across various retailers, services, and online sites. Another crypto might become the king of digital apps. This means that you could use it to pay for virtual in-game items, get your very own NFT, or participate in a special crypto club with it (with a VR headset).

As you can see, once applicability is factored into the equation - there can be no 'best' crypto. That's because they're all good! The only difference might be which ones you prefer. For example, some may prefer the crypto that is the 'king of DeFi' because it's their new home for gaming, social finance, and other digital entertainment interests.

I would like to end this post with a discussion question. What would be your preferred crypto and why?
