If you follow this blog, you'll know it's centered around ways to earn Crypto for free or it the least, at a small cost. I try to showcase a wide variety of ways to accomplish this, because we are all different and each of us have different views and different interests. Some of the things I research I find neat and fun while others I get really excited about. This is one of the times where I get excited! THETA is no secret, many have been praising it and the price recently has reflected that. The project has many big names behind it and there is some cool tech involved.

I'm not going to get into the technical details but I'll try and explain it simply. If you are interested in understanding it better you can check out the whitepaper HERE on thetatoken.org.
We will start with theta.tv. This is a streaming platform which allows you to earn TFUEL not only as a streamer but also as a viewer. I really like this concept. There is one issue, your TFUEL earnings here cannot be transferred out of Theta.tv. However there is a store within the platform with some pretty cool Merch you can spend your TFUEL on, additionally you can donate it to your favorite streamer. Maybe more options in the future?
As of now you might be asking if this is actually worth your time and I'll say yes, but you'll have to continue reading to understand why.
There is another method to earn TFUEL and this is where it gets interesting and this is where I get excited. You can install a node on your PC, you can install 2 nodes actually! These both reward you in TFUEL for having them run. The first is the Theta Guardian Node. This rewards you for staking Theta, this method is actually not free as it requires you to acquire Theta and stake it. However you can get rewards regardless. The second is the Theta Edge Node. This rewards you for sharing your bandwidth to help streamers and viewers operate smoother. With higher resolution and more potential into the future. In simple terms, instead of having 1 centralized streaming provider providing the entire bandwidth to countless viewers causing lag, buffering, and lowered quality. This allows the workload to become decentralized and shared. This also increases the potential, imagine in the near future with 4k or even VR. The bandwidth needed becomes immense. This is why I'm excited. Obviously it's more complicated than this and I hope I'm able to convey what is happening in simple terms.
Both these nodes deposit your TFUEL into your designated wallet at regular intervals. From there you can do whatever you desire with it.
OH YES, I forgot to mention as a viewer on Theta.tv this process also happens and this is how you are rewarded there. If this interests you, I highly encourage you to check it out some more and do your own research.
Now you might be asking... Wait is there two Cryptocurrencies and why are there two and what is the difference? Yes, there is two and I actually like this model they are using. To again explain it in simple terms, Theta is the Governace coin and TFUEL is the operational token. I currently know of no method to earn free Theta. If/when there is a way, ill be sure to introduce you to it. For now you can earn TFUEL from either node HERE on thetatoken.org or by viewing and streaming on theta.tv
