The concept of communication has been changing and evolving as new innovations in technology have been introduced over the past few decades. In the realm of the internet, social media in particular has been a hotspot where web applications have redefined the meaning of "community". In today's popular social media sites, you would typically see social media users posting their independent thoughts about a certain topic. Some would be trying to gain the "upper hand" by doing various things such as being the first one to post about something; being the funniest person; trying to act like a celebrity; spam posting the same message; and so on. And if the idea of a user-centered "community" is getting more distant in popular social media sites, then the idea of finance is even more isolated. Social media users in various forums had considered finance to be a topic for small groups of people who are either experts or dedicated enthusiasts in the field. As one of my friends mentioned, "if you really wanted more about finance, you could find finance in places like Wall Street Journal. Any further discussion would be quickly put down in some social media communities I visited just because you weren't a 'pro' with experience".
This is where TORUM comes in. Torum is a fully-fledged SocialFi, crypto-focused, metaverse platform. Finance does not have to be "boring" or "isolated" to certain groups of users. It's about knowing why you are investing in a certain asset; what are your predictions about that asset; and how you would utilize that asset to gain the most social and financial benefit for the purpose of helping the community. In essence, this is an art that everyone can join and it is best discussed in a SocialFi platform.
