What is Discord?
Discord is an application where users can communicate through voice calls, video calls, text messages, media and files on Private Chats or on Servers. You can download it on your phone, on your PC or even use the web. You can it a Social Gaming Platform. But why is Discord so powerful?
Well I find Discord personally, one of the biggest pros in building a community. I was using Discord only while playing Video Games, or to Learn some news about them in the Official Servers of a game. But when I dived in the world of Cryptos & NFTs I learned everything about building a strong community! P.S. I am not here to talk about if Discord is a profitable Company or not or their upcoming IPO in 2022.
Building a Community for your NFT Project or Crypto Token
Creating your own server and setting it up from scratch might be a hard for some people at first, but there's not a better way to do it than in Discord. Creating an idea then giving the idea to the community. New members getting help by old members, there are always admins online to help, and everyone is there to learn as much as possible in as little time as possible. In almost every Discord Server I joined, I went in and asked question right away, to see if the NFT project or Crypto Token is worth my time and money. Everytime I got my answers in less than 5 minutes from a lot of people who were not even admins, just people part of the community.
I ve got people who found some very solid projects back in the day and invested a lot of money in currencies that were not even famous that time, just because they saw a willing community and a huge hype around that project! Now NFTs are also in the game!
With Discord you can create Categories presenting information about your project, announcements, giveaways, collabs etc! These can be read-only from the members and written by the Mods. You can also create text and voice channels for the community to hang out, discuss ideas, make suggestions, ask questions, share memes, play games and many more! You let a community there, build itsself! I am at the time writing this post, discussing in two servers, talking with people all around the globe, having same interests, being part of exciting communities!
Thoughts
You might have the best art design, the best programmer on your team, the most valuable NFTs, the best utility, the best game or whatever. If you don't have a Discord Server, honestly, I don't believe there is a chance for your project to succeed. You cannot imagine how many people out there have the same interests as you, are as excited as you, but cannot find a place for themselves. A Discord Community tho is something that bring all of them together!
