In the recent years, gaming has taken the world by storm, becoming one of the leading industries in the world. Notably, in the last few years, great minds managed to integrate and continue to revolutionise the industry, by cementing gaming’s place in crypto. $XED Exeedme is one of these cryptocurrency projects that brought both crypto to game lovers, and game lovers to crypto.
On May 14, 2021, Exeedme opened their platform by starting their first of many tournaments on CSGO severs. Prior to matchmaking availability, the users were told to submit identity verification and to register on Exeedme, earning them some in-game currency.
Note: Such requirements still apply today. A user may register and verify identity once, that would earn him some in-game currency.
After that, all participants had to do was to link their STEAM and jump into the lobby! The players would then be told to submit some of the in-game currency that they’ve earned in a pool, where if they win, they would receive their pooled coins back, and their opponent’s coins as well.
Pros and Features!
Now that we’ve nailed the introduction, let us evaluate some of the pros of this project:
One of the pros of this project is the reward system. In matchmaking, the players choose a server to play on by eliminating the servers they do not want to play on. They put in an amount of in-game currency to essentially bet on themselves winning. They then brawl until a winner is decided. Rewards from the pool of the duo are granted to the winner and the winner’s win record is submitted to the weekly ladder. The number of wins will determine the person’s position in the weekly ladder where they may earn additional rewards offered by Exeedme!

Following the topic of rewards, tournament participants may choose to buy additional in-game currency by linking their METAMASK to Exeedme. They may pay in $BTC, $ETH, $XED, $USDT and $UTK. They may withdraw their earnings in $BTC $ETH $USDT $XED and $DOGE.
Another pro is the anti-cheat. Exeedme use KYC (Know Your Customer) and Virtual Referees to identify the trouble causing user and manage the game as it pans out. Exeedme also forms part of the ESIC (Esports Integrity Commission), a commission which is set to protect the integrity of Esports – as the name suggests.
Additionally, one may also stake Exeedme’s token $XED on $CAKE Pancakeswap or on the platform itself with its native token $XED.
Finally, one of the biggest pros of this project is the project itself! Exeedme brings together gaming and crypto and is certainly a step forward for both gaming integration in crypto, and the broader gaming industry finally warming up to crypto. Additionally, the project is an active project, meaning anyone can play and participate whenever they’d like!
Some Cons
Currently the project only supports CSGO as its main competitive game. This essentially leaves out other players which may not be so keen as to play CSGO or any FPS for that matter.
The platform also faces the challenge of popularity and stabilising itself in both gaming and crypto. The platform’s unpopularity hinders its growth as its expansion is entirely based on user participation. This results in longer match-making times, and we all know how those feel like. ??
It is in Beta and so it may be subject to change in the following months.
Why is it possibly the next 100x?
It is one of the first of its kind, that being a ‘play to earn’ in crypto.
Its possible adoption in a world where gaming is recognised as a large industry.
Integration of NFT rewards as progression rewards and not just the participation rewards discussed.
Strong token distribution as seen in the whitepaper linked below, not to mention the low Market Capitalisation coupled with the potential of gaming in crypto, as an emerging giant.
Its ambition of migrating to $DOT Polkadot reportedly as early as Q4 of 2021
We’ve already seen projects like $ENJ Enjin and $AXS Axie Infinity take off that are linked to Gaming and NFTs this year. That said $XED could still possibly have its big break in the near future… who knows?
