Tezos evolves with Oxford 2

Do repost and rate:

Tezos, an open-source blockchain platform for assets and applications, stands out in the crypto landscape for its ability to evolve and improve over time without risk of hard forks.

This feature, combined with the focus on security and scalability, has made Tezos an attractive choice for several companies and organizations, including football giant Manchester Uniter, which signed a sponsorship in 2021.

It recently announced the Oxford 2 update, released in December 2023 and represents a milestone for Tezos. The update brought significant improvements in terms of scalability, energy efficiency and security, strengthening Tezos' position as a leader in the sector.

Mentioning security, I remember that Tezos uses a proof of stake system that requires bakers to deposit a share of XTZ to participate in the validation of transactions, encouraging honest and safe behavior on the part of bakers, making the Tezos network highly resistant to attacks.

In addition to security, Tezos is exploring new technologies to further improve efficiency and scalability. These include Etherlink, a sharding solution that allows you to distribute the workload across multiple nodes, and private smart rollups, which offer greater privacy and scalability for decentralized applications.

Small but important things to know about Tezos:

Founded in 2014

Consensus of over $8 billion (total dollar value of all XTZ deposited by bakers)

Used by companies such as Ubisoft, Societe Generale and Nomadic Labs

Over 400,000 bakers worldwide
