Stars, the new Telegram service for in-app purchases on mini-apps
Telegram has launched Stars, a new service that allows users to make in-app payments for digital content and services within mini-apps on Android and iOS. Mini-apps are small software integrated into the Telegram app that do not require additional installations.
How Telegram Stars work
Users can purchase Stars directly within Telegram. Once received, Stars can be used to purchase goods and services within mini-apps. Owners of mini-apps can then convert the Stars received into Toncoin (the native cryptocurrency in TON) using the Fragment platform. Alternatively, they can use Stars to promote their mini-apps within Telegram itself with advantageous conditions.
