Hello guys, I hope you are going well. Today I want to share with you some news about a video game that I like : TeamFight Tactics.
What is this game about ?
It is a strategy game in which 8 people compete and where everyone has to develop the strongest team possible. To me, it really looks like a round-based card game because, in theory, each player receives cards dealt from the same pool but it is random and therefore it will lead to different combinations. What is also cool is that it also looks like a chess game (this game looks a lot like Dota AutoChess by the way) since your cards are laid out on a game board.
Is it a competitive game ?
There is a ladder that ranks the best players per server. It conventionally works with an ELO system. After each game, if you got 8, 7, 6, or 5th position you will lose points (proportional to your position) and if you finish 4, 3, 2 or 1st you will get some points (proportional to you position aswell). If you manage to reach the top of the ladder, you may have a chance to participate in the world championships that Riot will organize. The system for qualifying for these championships is not, in my opinion, very good, but it is a very complex one and I will therefore not detail it here. This could make an entire article so tell me, in the comment section, if an analysis and my opinion would interest you for a future article.
Why am I telling you about this game ?
Quite simply because a new extension will be released on Wednesday morning. Community feedback is very good at the moment. So if you are looking for a nice game to play occasionally this game is for you.
I think it's a game that highlights qualities that seem essential to crypto investors maybe like you are. The game has a big mathematical axis since it revolves a lot around theorycraft and probabilities. Since it is a multiplayer game there are many variables to consider when playing the game in order to estimate quantities such as variance, expected value, ...
But you can also play the game more relaxed, with friends for example, or on your phone / tablet. In both cases the game is pleasant to play.
What about me ?
For my part, I tried both ways of playing. In season 2 I finished in the top 500 EUW players and in the top 10 EUNE players. This season, I had a lot less time to play, I was also less attracted by certain things implemented by Riot, so I mostly played in a more casual way on my tablet. But I still reached Master Rank. And I must say that I still had a lot of fun.
