For over a year now I have interacted with the Socios.com app on my iPhone. When I first started there were only 8 teams and they were all soccer teams. Be raised in Texas soccer was at best an offseason sport to keep yourself in shape. With the huge time difference due to the top leagues being in Europe, I was never able to really get into it. During this time they had daily token hunts and you had the ability to get either their token SSU or Chiliz and you had differing chances on which one you got and the amount of them. You could get up to 25 Chiliz (CHZ) but that never happened to me and instead, I got over 1000 SSU but did ~500 CHZ.
After sitting out of the coin ICO because I had no clue what I was doing I realized there was a reoccurring theme with the large named teams that were signing on. That theme was that while the tokens would be sold at first for 200 CHZ they quickly would go up to 300+. Around the time I decided to pull the trigger they announced the creation of the Locker Rooms which has you lock away 200 CHZ per token for 120 days while they try to sign a team in said city. No matter if they sign a team or not for locking up the CHZ you get 10% of the CHZ back. I decided to purchase a couple that was labeled as the Milan Devils. Just yesterday they announced that this was actually AC Milan and that I not only was going to get my 2 fan tokens in a few days but also I got 40 CHZ back for locking up 400 CHZ.
Now with these Fan Tokens, you get to vote on different polls that the team is then obligated to follow through on. I love this idea and way of fan engagement and I hope soon to see some American sports teams sign-on! There are also occasions when if you own a certain amount of Fan Tokens and you buy gear through the link you get a certain percentage back in CHZ.
A couple of Fan Tokens caused some huge waves recently when they were added to a BINANCE Mining pool. I honestly do not know how that works nor looked into it because Binance does not operate in the US. As a side note, I will say we do have Binance.US but that is separate from Binance and does not seem worth it from what I have heard. This has really pumped the market and I love it! Chiliz is currently hovering around the $0.02 range which is fantastic when I did not spend anything to earn them!
Tomorrow a new Locker opens up for an F1 Racing Team and I will definitely get in on that one too! While F1 racing is not very big here I love watching those cars go! It seems to be a lot more challenging than Nascar is and maybe even a little faster overall. I have no idea how this token will do since this will be the first locker one outside of Soccer and while they have a couple of basketball teams it is really not enough to draw a conclusion.
