For a few years now I have been a US based user of the Socios.com app and I am not afraid to say that when I first joined the app and was authenticating myself it was a huge pain due to being a US citizen for a project that at the time for 110% focused on Europe and Soccer bases. Heck Chiliz at the time if it hit $0.02 was a huge deal! Now over the years this has really really changed and Chiliz is listed on COINBASE and hit an all-time high of $0.89 a coin and I almost threw up since I had a little over 1000 of them on the app!
While I was able to access them I was not really able to do too much with them as again it was mostly built out at the time for uses I was not interested in. That has changed and last week Chiliz was discussed on ESPN for the SECOND time due to how Paris Saint-Germain had included fan tokens in Lionel Messi's new soccer contract ending his impressive run at Barcelona! Naturally, this sent the PSG fan token to the moon again and for those who owned that fan token a huge congrats to you, I bet that was not something yall expected!
I mention this because Chiliz has recently been pumping out the US sports market partnership agreements! They have hit every sport from MMA to NASCAR to NBA, MLB, and NHL partnerships! As someone who has bought and voted on the different proposals that the fan tokens allow you to partake in it is a really really unique thing! While being excited to see what bus or vehicle layout is is not something I would have expected from myself with fan tokens even these small things become really really cool to participate in!
While most blockchain projects right now are focused on either money or possession of things like NFTs the Chiliz Blockchain shows an amazing new and unexplored side of what blockchain can do! This results in a situation where everyone wins as the team wins with the money that they make and also the engagement with fans and what they like. Fans get the ability to own something associated with a team and really invest in the future of the club. With important fan information, the league even wins with these unique tokens.
So far Chiliz has really benefitted this year from the tens of millions of dollars they have invested in North American. Adding some of the biggest names in the biggest sports markets to their list of partners is laying a fantastic foundation for future growth. While only a couple of North American-based team Fan Tokens are currently available it is not a crazy idea to expect this to change and to change quickly. Chiliz has tended to lump together fan tokens when they roll them out. Adding in the daily "hunts" you can go on to possibly earn more Chiliz the whole ecosystem is really coming together!
