Another fun Rule Set is highlighted this week for the Share Your Battle Challenge which now also is called 'Battle Mage Secrest" in . This is the Fog of War Game Rule.
Being able to direct where the attacks go to tends to be a great setup for fun tactical decks. No game rule where no sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity is allowed tends to be great in this regard as only Scattershot potentially can bypass this. The Strategy I tend to play with this rule is to play high speed with Phase so magic can also miss aiming for the tank to stay alive that way long enough to slowly but surely kill my opponent. The 2 main tanks I use for this strategy are either the Nightmare or the Phantom of The Abyss (Even though I only have it at Level 1). As for Summoners, I use either the Astral Entity or the Sthispa
For this Battle, I played the Astral Entity & Nightmare
The main downside of playing a high-speed strategy is that it comes at the cost of attacking power, especially of the opponents reduce those some more. However, with if targets are almost impossible to hit while having some heam and doing some blast damage, it is still possible to win matches this way quite often. My Nightmare as a tank was nearly impossible to hit with high speed, Phase, Dodge while also getting extra speed from the Enrage ability while all the opponent monsters were blinded. I followed it up as with the best Death Reach card in the Corrupted Pegasus, My Golden Furious Chicken and 2 Magic Damage Monsters in the Spirit Miner which is a must-have in this scenario and the Phantom Soldier which usually has less impact as the -1 Magic Damage isn't as efficient since most attacks will miss anyway. And on the end another 0 mana monster with the Fiend which I should have placed closer in the middle since there was no dodge allowed anyway.
The Blast ability of the Nightmare won the match as it slowly but surely chipped away at killing the 2nd place healer of the opponent. Once that was done it went quickly my way even though Splinterstats only gave a 2% chance. I'm not 100% sure if it's calculating the odds of missing though as those are extremely high
