Splinterlands - Battle Mage Secrets: What doesn't kill you!

Do repost and rate:

Good morning everyone, or good day, depending on where in the world you are ?? and welcome back to my SPLINTERLANDS blog!

Are you excited for Rebellion? I am! I still haven't completed my Chaos Legion deck, so many choices where to put the money with this game! I feel my deck needs a Possiblus but I also want to save money to buy Rebellion packs!

I got a little accident with a electric saw yesterday, but that sounds worse than it is, the sawblade got stuck and the saw had a hell of a kickback that hit me in my stomach and then the metal frame I was cutting in half fell apart including the saw making a superficial cut of about 10cm in my arm, so now I feel like I've been in a boxing match and got some stomach blows ?? so taking it easy today, it's raining outside too so a good day to make the required Splinterlands posts for this week!

Last week for the first time I made two Battle Mage Secrets posts as I play my battles every day I can do that quite easily, I'll do that again this week ??.

Doing these posts every week can really fund your Splinterlands deck so I highly recommend doing it, when you get the hang of it, it's not hard and I actually like it!

To find out how you can participate in the challenge yourself, you can find the Splinterlands post here.

This week is about the 'What doesn't kill you' ruleset, in which all monsters get the enrage ability, so it's a good idea to bring a heavy melee tank with a decent base melee damage and preferably good speed to start with.

All units gain the Enrage ability which multiplies their speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up.

The attack multiplier only affects melee units.

Units with Inspire will increase your melee attack; Demoralize will decrease your opponent's melee attack.

The battle I want to share for this post is a 42 mana Wild League What doesn't kill you / Reversed speed ruleset with only the Dragon splinter locked out, I play both Wild and Modern league to maximize my rewards, when I feel I reached the max rating for that day, or in other words, I start being kicked down again in rating because when you get higher you meet stronger players, I'll switch leagues for a day and visa versa.

With this ruleset, you can expect a heavy tank so when I'm thinking about this now, it could be nice to bring a poison if you have one.

First look at the battlefield:

This is certainly a bot and the team choice isn't the best considering the Reversed Speed ruleset with two fast monsters in it, a partial magic team so my Void tank is a nice counter to that!

My Line-Up:

  • : Tarsa - reason: the Fire team in slow and hits hard, good for this ruleset, the +1 melee damage helps boosting the enrage some more.
  • First position: Grum Flameblade - reason: Slow, high damage, the bloodlust will increase it's speed to that's not the best but I still think he's a good choice.
  • Second position: Radiated Brute - reason: Slow, which is good, good damage, reach.
  • Third position: Etin Spearmen - reason: Slow, good damage, good HP.
  • Fourth position: Scavo Hireling - reason: To repair Grum's Void Armor.
  • Fifth position: Spirit Hoarder - reason: Triage, mainly to heal my last card, sneak protection.
  • Sixth position: Naga Fire Wizard - reason: Shield, slow, sneak protection.

The Battle:

: No one died just yet but Unicorn Mustang is seriously injured, Mustang missed it's attack on Grum so that's nice. The enemy team has a healer but Grum will strike before the healer because he's legendary.

Grum got hit, and now he's mad! it's just like an old action movie where the hero gets hurt and then kills every enemy, you better run! ??

Two more kills on the other team, Grum's speed is becoming a problem now, low chance he can hit the Goblin Psychic, good thing I have heavy hitting number 2 and 3 behind him.

Bloodlust is a really scary ability lol! The last attacker died and now the tree is in the first position unable to fire... FINISH HIM!

it was still a pretty low ranked battle and the Wild rewards are not as high so only 0.1 SPS, it's easier to win though so getting chests is better in Wild, and I still need some soulbound summoners to get them to level 4, so I'll keep grinding!

That's the end of this post, I'm getting a coffee and then start working on the thumbnail for my next post, and the post after that, see you in a bit ??.
