Some truths about NFT gaming (play-to-earn)

Do repost and rate:

Most of us like the idea of being able to gain a bit of cash from an interesting game. Gaming has been a past time us 90's babies came to enjoy over the years. Even before us, the children in the 80's found great enjoyment through video games along with our current generation of children and in between. The gaming industry has grown massively since its inception. Spawning professional leagues and tournaments for popular competitive games.

Some games managed to gain a cult following that'll be willing to buy anything. But I digress; a new age in gaming is upon us. Unfortunately, we're going through a lot of hidden turmoil regarding this new wave in the gaming industry. This wave is nonother than NFT gaming or play-to-earn.

If you haven't heard of play-to-ear or nft gaming, I'll give you a quick explanation. Play to earn is pretty self-explanatory. If you play the game, you have a chance to earn some coin for your time. Some games offer NFT's for playing the game, but most offer their associated currency. It May sound like an awesome idea. Well, it is an awesome idea. Unfortunately, there is an issue not mentioned when we talk about these games. Here are a couple of the problems I've seen so far throughout my research on play-to-earn crypto gaming.

The first problem I want to point out is on the trading side. Most of these projects are on the Ethereum network making it expensive to move your earned funds. You also have to check around exchanges to see if you could cash out if you wanted to. Although that brings up another issue which is trading volume and selling pressure. Can the currency withstand the selling pressure of players trying to cash out their winnings?

After all, who wouldn't want to take at least some of their earnings off the table, maybe flip it into a different coin you've had your eyes on. Plain and simple, if people don't want to buy or want to buy low, then you're likely to get a shitty price for your earnings you've gotten from playing the game. Not all games are like this, though. It's a couple of currencies associated with play-to-ear games that hold reasonable prices. Auxi infinity likely being the highest-priced gaming token out so far, it's followed by coins like Mana and other metaverse type coins that did well during the recent bull run.

Since we mentioned Auxi infinity, let us use this game as an example for the next point I will bring up. It cost over $1000 USD to even play Auxie infinity, and honestly, I don't know how long it would take someone to make their capital back. Auxi infinity isn't the only play-to-earn game that suffers from a high paywall entry. If you have the money and don't mind losing it, go for it. I wouldn't recommend throwing your savings into a play-to-earn game in the hopes of making a profit. More times than none, if you've heard of it, it's too late.

Let's talk a little bit about how you actually earn on these play-to-earn games. In most, if not all, you have to win games to actually make money. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you're just trying something new and decide to invest in a play-to-earn game, you thought looked cool. Now you go spend your money and start playing the game. You're a beginner, so all the people you face trounce you with no problem. Two weeks later, it's still the same deal, and you haven't earned any coin yet.

There is another possible option to make some type of income off of play to earn games. The NFT's you've bought or earned could likely be sold in some kind of exchange or marketplace. So you go ahead and try to fit your NFT's in price-wise with other NFT's of the same category and wait to see if you get a sell. At this point, it's a possibility you might get a sell, but it's a higher possibility that people don't want to buy. So it all just comes to feel like wasted money, unless you really didn't need the money.

I didn't write this to deter anyone from trying out these games. Some of them are fun, and there are free-to-play options. Many free-to-play options for the more popular play-to-earn games don't offer an earning opportunity until you buy in. It could be an excellent way to try out the ones you're interested in and see if you actually like them. The space is proliferating; all we can do is sit back and wait to see how things pan out. The play to earn space within the gaming world is very exciting and possibly lucrative. Just always make sure to properly research these projects before throwing money in. Other than that, I hope you guys find one you enjoy and can actually earn a nice profit off of.

Feel free to leave a comment telling me what you think about play-to-ear games and your personal experience with them. Also, leave some links to ones you've played, and thought was good, and I'm sure others would like maybe try them out. It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'm back, and I'll be posting more often. Leave alike, and a follow if you enjoyed this reading, it'd be greatly appreciated.
