Hello Coders! It’s Karo here and on this channel (and on this blog) I’m going to tell you all about that and more! ??
I started coding when I was 11 (unless you count Logo as a programming language then maybe 8). Initially creating websites and webapps at the age of 17 I switched to Android development which I fell for deeply and naturally decided to specialise in. I did my Masters degree in Computer Science ??
My thesis Universal Sense Simulation Interface won a couple of awards. Before finishing uni I did two internships at Microsoft as well as some contracting projects.
I travelled a lot for work but for the last 3 years I’m happily settled in Australia working as a Video Software Engineer at Canva. Here, I not only make software for video editing but focus a lot on career growth, leadership, supporting women in tech, mentoring and teaching programming.
I recently became very interested in blockchain, cryptocurrencies and dapps. My mathematical and cryptographic educational background makes it easier for me to understand how those technologies work under the hood. My plan is to create videos and blog post explaining those concepts in a simple way as well as how you can use it to create your own coins and dapps ??
