Digital Surge is an Australian (Brisbane) based exchange, which basically acts as a broker with different exchanges to get you a decent price. It’s a little different to using some of the other big sites in Australia and I’ll go through a few of the differences from my point of view, remembering my blogs are focused on beginners and not seasoned traders, although even they may be interested to read on.

On most sites it is best to avoid the instant buy as you will generally get a worse rate than selling P2P on the marketplace and setting a price, however that’s not possible for anything other than BTC & ETH and the spread/liquidity isn’t great. The instant buy on Digital Surge however does give pretty good rates, and if you are buying beginner level amounts then it will make only a very small difference compared to the more advanced options.
Using PayID is very simple, and the transfers in are immediate so you don't miss out on the pump when you are keen to buy in quickly.
It’s generally easy, cheap and fast to transfer out to an external wallet, fees vary depending on the coin, obviously BTC/ETH are more expensive than a lot of the others so do factor this in especially if you are only buying small amounts.
I've used their live chat feature a few times with various questions, and always found them to be responsive and helpful, even at times I would not expect it, and was anticipating a reply the following day but had a response in less than 30 mins, during the day they have always been much faster.
I would highly recommend this if you are an Australian looking for an easy way into crypto, and want a good selection of coins to choose from.
