The development team behind meme asset Shiba Inu () is warning traders to do their own research and be cautious of suspicious actors who claim to be a part of the SHIB ecosystem.
In a new announcement, the SHIB team that just because someone is using the name “Shibarium,” it doesn’t mean they are associated with the project and that all official partnerships would be announced through the ecosystem’s Discord channel or official blog
“Reminder: It’s important to note that nothing is official and no one is endorsed. Just because people use the name ‘Shibarium’ or journalists write about the Shiba Inu project, it doesn’t necessarily mean it has any connection to the Shiba Ecosystem developers.
Always remember to DYOR (Do Your Own Research). Official partnerships will be promoted and introduced through official channels like the https://blog.shib.io/. Stay informed and rely on verified sources for accurate information. Keep exploring, learning, and making informed decisions.
The fact that some team members share articles about these projects does not mean that it is an official partnership. Earlier this month, Shibarium, the ecosystem’s layer-2 scaling solution, continued its rapid growth since launching in August. At the time, transactions over the network topped 2.5 million and saw over 1.2 million unique wallet addresses use its services.
Shibarium was forced to temporarily go offline a few weeks after its launch due to the massive influx of users, causing millions of dollars worth of crypto assets to get stuck over its Ethereum () bridge. However, it has since been brought back with a new monitoring system to ensure technical difficulties are promptly addressed should they arise.
SHIB is trading for $0.000007 at time of writing, a fractional increase on the day.
