Ethereum-based collectibles game Axie Infinity announced on Monday that the second season of the alpha testing phase for its arena battles is officially live.

According to the announcement, the second season will run for the next 2 weeks, ending on March 22, at 10:00 am (EST). The season features a unique reward structure where gamers will have the opportunity to earn rewards in the form of Kyber Network tokens (KNC).
500 KNC will be distributed to the top-50 players on the leaderboard at the end of the season. The rewards earned will initially be in the form of Axie Kyber Coins, which will be converted to KNC at the rate of 1,000 Axie Kyber Coins to 1 KNC. At current exchange rates, the top competitor from this season will earn roughly $48.
This is the second collaboration between Axie Infinity and Kyber Network. The two previously teamed up to giveaway an exclusive in-game item that provides a boost to user-owned land.
